Kitty Cat Alfapet Sifting Transfer Review

We bought Alfapet sieve liners direct from the manufacturer long before they were sold (and before the internet). They are a pleasure to use as they easily separate disposables from sand. Since we'll probably never be without a few cats, I'd order a container load if I knew they were being hired. We LOVE them and encourage anyone who has indoor cats to try them.

The holes are too big and too far apart to actually sift and scoop. It's also disappointing that it's just a few layers held in place by an elastic band. I would have thought it would be as stretchy as their other product. Generally my tray smelled worse from not sifting so much rubbish that I actually returned it. I bought this to make the daily scooping out of 2 litter boxes less labor intensive, but the price I paid for the smell and mess didn't outweigh the time factor.

I did not use these sheets as directed. I first wrote TOP on a screen sheet because I plan to use each sheet multiple times. If you don't have 2 boxes like I do, you can use a bin liner under the screen sheet (I also write TOP on the liner). Turn the bag upside down, turn the privacy film upside down, empty the litter box. and lift the sieve sheet to sieve, the clean garbage is on the garbage bag or sheet without holes, transfer the clean garbage to the box. I found this product messy, difficult to use and didn't work as intended. At first my cats seemed annoyed to have multiple layers of plastic in the box. For me, the liners didn't fit well in my tray and the elastic holding the layers was so flimsy that it didn't work at all. After removing the first two layers, the filler went all the way to the bottom and didn't stay on the top layer. I had to remove and throw away whatever was left. later I don't know if this product works better with different types of cat litter because I see there are happy customer reviews. My experience was very different. The inserts fit well in 2 very large bowls but the elastic was a problem and didn't hold the corners very well. It's fine, but scooping out the shell with a shovel is quicker than messing with the liner and rubber band. Pure genius with basic physics. Easy to install and maintain. If you are not lazy and do not procrastinate cleaning the tray, everything works fine. Two adult cats live in one box and can be changed every other day. I use 20 or 25 pound Fresh Step Clumping Litter. I can confidently say a maximum of four days. Having been a regular purchaser of transmission bushings for over half a century, I'm done with this. These liners revolutionized cat box cleaning as I think they were the first company to introduce liners with holes that allowed the dry litter to fall onto the next layer. Solid waste and wet debris were caught by the upper liner and discarded. Shovel for a dirty toilet is not needed.
