Great tools for craftsmen

Love my little Dams. I use them almost daily in my HVAC area. They work all the time with no problems. It is also comfortable to hold in the hand.

Pros
  • Diagonal cutters
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Great pliers! Well suited for side cutters

I have bought these pliers several times in my more than 50 years in the trade. I am a state-certified apprentice electrician and ALWAYS buy pliers from Klein! They are the best!

Pros
  • Pliers
Cons
  • Reliability

The best I've found! for side cutters

Side cutters are probably my most used hand tool. They can be used for anything (even trimming toenails! LOL!). And it's head and shoulders above the rest, IMO. They stay the sharpest, can cut through the toughest materials and cut a human hair! I have had many other brands and these are my favorites even if they are a little pricey. Klein is one of my favorite tool companies, they don't make junk!

Pros
  • Pliers
Cons
  • Big and chunky

I had a journeymanless version for many, many years.

I've had the non-Journeyman version for many, many years and found that they were worn out and decided to update what was already working well with an 'updated' Journeyman version. Aside from the two-tone grips, which are slightly larger than the regular's plastic dip tank, I don't see much of a difference. So next time I saved money and used regular dykes they work just as well, lower price point.

Pros
  • Power Tools and Hand Tools
Cons
  • Something Else

I bought them for a very specific purpose at work.

I bought these for a very specific use at work. The machine I work on has a part that needs to be replaced frequently. The hex bolt on this part is almost always exposed due to the cheap hex T-handles we are provided with. I ended up having to call a technician to remove the screws. After a while I decided to see what he was using. I saw it was an 8" Klein Journeyman side cutter. He told me they cost about $40. He obviously didn't buy his dykes from Revain! Before purchasing this model, I tried

Pros
  • Side cutters
Cons
  • Wrinkled
