Knock for your money.

I have had these for 3 days now. About 2 months ago I had black S4s. I thought she was incredible until I lost her. I was heartbroken. I recently found a reference S4 at Revain for 44.95. I thought wow what a great price for the S4 model I had. It was only a few days before they collapsed. You sound fantastic. I will say they have an advantage over my old pair. I find that the bass is smoother and the sound field or presence is slightly better. I would recommend this to anyone on the NYC train…

Fantastic sound for the money!

I have a pair of Sennheiser wireless in-ear headphones and they sound better. I've tried all earplugs and they all irritate my ear canals. To be honest they hurt after about half an hour! I ordered the Comply foam ear pads. They make the earbuds "invisible” for convenience. As others have noted in their reviews, the bass is also better with matching ones. The problem with the wires is not a big deal. I heated some water in a tea press and wrapped it around it (an empty glass would work too). I…

Good quality headphones

So far I like these headphones a lot. I used to only use what I could find at Best Buy because I needed them now and didn't want to wait for delivery, but they seem like the very 'good' Sony headphones out there , keep getting worse, so I decided to try something better. I heard a lot of good things about the Klipsch before I bought it so I had high expectations and for the most part they were met. The headphones sound great once you find an earbud that fits (for headphones) and I have no…

Good sound but poor choice for training

When I sit still and use headphones, I use full size headphones. If I take my headphones out, it's because I'm either moving or traveling. 9 times out of 10 it's because I'm going to run or mountain bike and then these headphones fail. Many other reviews relate to the sound quality, so I won't talk much about that. They were too heavy for bass for my liking, but some people actually prefer it, so it's a matter of preference. However, the biggest downside to these headphones is the cable. It is…

Real quality product - great sound, worth the money

For a while I used what I thought were pretty good in-ear headphones. I thought they sounded so good that I ordered a second pair for the future - big mistake. The wire on them bends after a while, so I finally decided to give them a try. They were about three times the price of the previous ones but well worth the money. You just don't know what you're missing out on when you get used to cheap phones. Of course I'm not a music lover, but I have a good ear and can perceive the differences in…

Two for Two headphones are good

I chose the Reference One headphones based on my experience with the Klipsch Reference ONE in-ear headphones. Like their full-size counterparts, they have a balanced sound, which I prefer. At the same time, there is enough low end, but not at the expense of mid and high frequencies, so that the full range of music passes through them. They also keep up in terms of efficiency, my iPhone controls them with ease and I don't have to crank the volume to the max to get enough sound. The fit is one of

Excellent sound; Bad Cables

Great Sound: The sound quality is really great. Especially for such a price. My dog ate my first pair of Image S4s I've had in 4 years so I decided to use a reference instead of an image hoping the thicker wires would make them a bit more durable. It's not that the pair of images is weak. Everyone. And that I love Klipsch's signature copper color scheme. I understand the difference between the Image and Reference is in the aesthetics, but I swear my pair of Reference S4s sound better than the…

doesn't cover the area completely

This S4 set delivers clean mids, decent highs and some punchy mid-lows that are a bit sporadic but not enough for the listener to feel their effect on mid-range enhancement. The mids or voice are crisp, almost of audiophile quality, although they are somewhat muffled when the same signal is compared to the S4i model. The mids of the S4 are overall pleasant, but not as rich in detail and dynamic as in the slightly more expensive S4i. The bass is more pronounced on the S4i and the mids are a bit…

Great headphones with a small caveat

I abuse headphones. They're wrapped around devices and stuffed in my pockets everywhere I go. I almost always listen to music, so they are always with me when I'm not at home. I've had both more expensive IEMs and cheaper IEMs, but I always go back to the S4. I'll spare everyone the technical details and analysis as other reviewers have already done so and other sites dig deeper into the audio specs than I have room for here. Bottom line, they sound great, especially after a week or two of…
