When adjusting the chain to the ideal length, it may be necessary to remove the master link more than once. Add or remove shortcuts. One-time master links do not allow this.

Used for bike chain for internal (no derailleur) 3 speed rear hub on a fat tire e-bike (1 speed, 1/2" x 1/8", KMCA0 Z410) . Worn as a spare.

I don't need this for my bike. I wanted this to be the link between the pocket knife and the key ring. I had to drill through one end to get a small post through. After 3 drills I can attest to the incredible strength of the metal. If durability is one of your criteria, look no further.

Mounted on a KMC single speed chain, it looked the same as the rest of the links. The only way to tell that this is the main link is to look at it from the clip side. Arrived baggy and not in any sort of retail packaging, but given the look and feel of a genuine KMC chain I'm pretty sure it's 100% genuine KMC.

Rods too big for chain holes. I tried very hard and inserted one pole but the other couldn't work. In the end both the chain and the link are lost because one can never get out and the other can never get in. Now I have to buy everything new and it should be a one link chain in one package. I don't want to be fooled again.

The chain broke while driving. pulled out this master link and chain tool, removed the old link and replaced it with this link. Easy to fix. Jumped on the bike and rode it 3ft and the racks hooked up a Shimano RD-M410 rear derailleur and pulled it into the spokes. I had to remove the switch and chain.
