Excellent product - versatile and easy to use

This is a great way to sharpen knives yourself! We used to send ours to the hardware store so of course we waited until they were really stupid to do something and in the meantime struggled with a knife that didn't work very well. and we tried various handy dandy tools but they didn't work really well. Our son told us about using a sharpening stone and I bought this one because it really had everything we needed. Most importantly, it has a wide grit range so you can go from a really old knife…

They have proven themselves on all types of cutlery in all states of initial sharpness - kitchen knives, hunting knives, pocket knives, scissors. I'm still debating which grit combinations to start with and when and how to move on to the best…

According to the instructions, the stones should be soaked for 5 minutes before use. nope It took at least an hour for them to stop bubbling and soak up water for the first time. Subsequent use took only
