Great electric pliers for making quick Shepard hooks

I use them to make clean hooks on the end of 12 and 14 AWG wire when I Wire electrical switches and sockets. Great size, fit and finish.

Pros
  • Test for one year
Cons
  • I have no real complaints about it, everything is fine

Too big for my purposes

They are really big and heavy. I wanted them for making jewelry. They're too fat for that. If you wanted them to be more like pliers they would be nice and strong.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Protection

Super high quality!

They may be a bit more expensive, but they are worth the money. My other cheap round nose pliers started to bend after some use, but these are solidly built. They are also very convenient to use. I have used other Knipex products at work and they never fail.

Pros
  • Sturdy design
Cons
  • Negative impression

Muy Buen Alicate 100% recommended.

It una herramienta buena. Sobre todo con articulación firme, y puntas que siempre se encuentran al cerrar en forma perfecta. Así it Knipex y deseo Que continue. Splash problem of the Majoria de Herramientas de Buena Calidad and iseno de Origen, pero el sistema Makila, desvirtuó TODO

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Some little things

Excellent quality and hard wearing

My last heavy duty pliers I bought broke. So I ordered them and compared to them they are heavier. I use them to bend larger wires and I do it without bending. I would say it's overkill for jewelry but you never have to worry about buying another one because it's broken. So far, so good!

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Doubtful

Functional and convenient

Quality and high quality finish. The handles are structured and well padded, non-slip and very comfortable to hold. I went to the optician several times to have the frame adjusted - it still moved off the nose, like an Olympic springboard. Five minutes of adjustment with these pliers and the glasses will stay in place all day. Couldn't be happier.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Some defects

Quality control could be better

I have about a dozen Knipex pliers and this is the first thing that really disappointed me. Upon unboxing, there was a feeling/sound of the sugar being ground in the joint and a significant amount of oil was leaking out of the non-rotating side, suggesting it wasn't a good fit. There is a little play in the pivot which is not good for durability as these pliers are subjected to torsional forces.

Pros
  • Precision tools
Cons
  • I'll write later

Good tool but not for jewelry making

This review should only be a cause for concern for novice jewelers: tips are too blunt; You won't be able to make the small loops you want to make. Benecreat makes RN pliers with tiny jaws, but the jaws are short so can't be used to make large loops. Tronex makes one that some instructors recommend; The 1.25" long jaws are larger in diameter and also tiny on the ends.

Pros
  • Each tool is tested and tested in real world and real world conditions for durability and functionality
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Great tools from a reliable company

Great tools from a reliable company. (I've never bought anything from Knipex that wasn't top notch!) Knipex pliers use steel, which will "give" a bit if you overload them, but I've never bent a few of them. . They are very strong and the slight flex is a warning that I'm going too far. I suspect it's the combination of the quality steel used and the quenching that allows it to bend without being cold "hardened" (and becoming just another bent pliers). and they will probably all be passed on to…

Pros
  • #1 among dealers worldwide
Cons
  • Cord shorter than other pickaxes
