Good quality yarn

My favorite of the two patches, I have both light and dark! I love them both, they are very pretty and are holding a balloon so not too big.

Smaller than expected

This is normal for a smaller ball of yarn. For larger projects, you may need a larger bowl, or you may need to wrap smaller balls. Not ideal for heavier yarns or larger projects. But beautiful and exactly like the picture.

Unfortunately scratched!

I love the bowl but it has scratches around the bowl. The price is great but if you are unable to buff the scratch I can see most people will be unhappy about getting this product new like I did. It's a shame because the bowl is really good.

Absolutely beautiful

My husband bought this as a gift for Mother's Day! I'm a lucky lady. It is beautiful and can hold 5 ounces of basic baby mandala yarn. I love it! It's beautiful and the photos don't make it easy. It's a wonderful finish and a nice weight. (The yarn winder is great too!) 😊

Nice and big suitable for knitting and crocheting

The shell is as nice as the picture but it was bigger than I expected. The wood in the swivel is a bit rougher than we would like. Looks like they didn't finish the vortex area enough. I can try sanding a bit so I don't have to worry about the yarn getting bumpy and/or add some polyurethane to smooth it out. I'm also having trouble keeping the yarn in the swirl. Basically, I like it because I don't have to deal with a ball of yarn rolling around everywhere.

Poor workmanship, best with twine

I like the size of this bowl but I don't like the workmanship. It is rough in places and has several imperfections, including a horizontal line where two pieces of wood are attached to the shell; this. it is not made out of one piece of wood. The worst thing is the cut out curved part intended for the passage of the yarn thread. It has almost no trimmings and has pieces of wood that grab and snag the yarn. I don't know how this bowl got such good reviews so I bought it but it didn't live up to…

Functional and aesthetic

This is a very high quality wooden yarn bowl. It's not overly heavy and the holes and curves do the job. I'm new to crocheting so my yarn still gets tangled because my tension isn't that great. Also, I don't use yarn, so the skein moves around in the bowl a lot. I think this bowl will still come in handy because it keeps the yarn from picking up dust and rolling around on the floor. And it adds to the decor of the room when I put it on my desk. This will definitely help as I get more advanced…
