Nice colors in art supplies

I have quite a few brands of pencils now and they are all different. I think this is my absolute favorite. They are creamy and lay pigment down better than any other brand I use. I don't like a real pencil in my hand. They're octagonal, I think, but don't hold me to that. They aren't round. They have a number on them but no color name. And the advice is all gold. So I spend some time making swatches alongside other colors. I have a diagram with pencils but I still can't tell how they fit…

  • Acceptable

Mediocre Pens: Drawing Mediums

I have several Koh-i-noor products and love them all but these pens don't work for me. The pencils are soft and have excellent pigment, but the sticks crumble easily and there is a lot of dust when coloring. Another downside is that even with 72 colors I still went to other sets to look for colors. There are about four or five shades of red in this set that are almost indistinguishable from each other. The same applies to blue, yellow and orange. For me, the largest set is about having a…

Can't afford Polychromos? Got it!

I'm really surprised how great they are! I have many brands of colored pencils, Fc Polychromos, Caran D'Ache Pablo's and Luminance, Lyra, Prismacolor, Arteza etc. Let me tell you something, these pencils are good! If you can't afford Faber Castell Polychromos pencils and need them, get them. They are very similar and they are excellent colored pencils of the time. You don't have to think of it as anything other than comfortable. They go well together. They are quite elegant and have a great…

Pros
  • I'm looking forward to it
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Blends well but the layer and pigment are terrible

The pencils were poorly packaged, the pencils arrived with a bent and dented tin and the pencil tips were broken. These pencil sets are just awful, the good thing is they blend beautifully, the bad thing is they blend absolutely horribly, as you can see in the picture I uploaded, I tried 2-3 different colors stacked and with a soft hand, but it began to wrinkle horribly. And the pigment is not very. For the price, these pens are not worth the money at all. Budget oil based pencils are way…

Untitled Pencils & Repeat Color

I have a set of 24 polycolors and the more I use them the more I think they could become my new favorites (I have LOTS of quality brands). so excited to receive them sooner than expected. As I prepared to test my samples this morning, I was a little dismayed to realize that this new set of 72 units had no color names, just numbers that didn't match my set of 24 units. It looks like the chains will match, so I've calmed down a bit. But just know. So far, the color and feel are the same between…

Pros
  • The wide edge is ideal for blending; Fine sharp point creates exquisite detail
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

excellent drawing and coloring pencil for adults

Amazing colored pencil. I have used it for both drawing and painting. and for adult coloring projects. They fit great. layering is good. They blend and blend beautifully. The main downside is that they can't be found in the public domain, but all you have to do with "budget" pencils is that you're a fanatic like me and can't live without them. wait for them to fall off and then buy a new set. I started with a set of 36 but will end up buying a set of 72. I recommend them to both adult colorists

Pros
  • Professional pencils for drawing, illustration and colouring; Assorted 48 colors
Cons
  • No, automatic

WORTH IT! COMPETE WITH FABER --- EASY!

Ok I decided to try this VS. Faber bought again. I have almost all brands of crayons, from the cheapest Crayola to the most expensive CARAN d'ACHE. I was hoping they would be as good as the other polys and they are pretty impressive especially for the price. I've used them side by side with all the other polys and they're really good. They're a little harder than Fabers or Caran, but not by much. They apply paint just as smoothly as the best brands (since these are oils you don't have to worry…

Pros
  • Colors lay down well and blend well with no waxy build up
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
