Black Kolpin ATV Flat Rack - 53400, One Size Review

Wish I had bought this for my 2011 Yamaha Grizzly 450 10 years ago! This makes it much easier to carry things around. 4 gas cans at once, that kind of thing. It is big. I use it every day on my property and I'm so glad I finally bought it.

I originally wanted to return this vehicle but after making very minor changes to my ATV this vehicle is AMAZING! I definitely recommend this for the front of your car! It fits 2 sets of my hunting gun clips and STILL holds 2 gear pouches! You won't get any better than this!

You cannot fully tighten the assembly because the main frame parts are out of tolerance. In other words, it doesn't fit well as it has "gaps" at where the studs connect. This will loosen the joints and expose up to 1/8 of the gap. Typical problems of foreign quality, even Kolpin's front label was crooked. Poor quality control for the price.

Easy to assemble, just take your time and loosen all the screws before finally tightening them up. 5mm Allen ratchet speeds up the process, blue Loctite screw lock for final security. Very strong and dense, ideal for all types of ice fishing and hunting, plenty of room for everything you need. Ride perfectly on a 2017 Honda Rancher body.

Luggage rack mounted in front of my Honda Rancher, looks great, fits easily in my fishing gear and ice box for a 4x4 trip into the backwoods. into the grooves on the sides of the rack. This stance comes in handy when I need to load my hunting gear before sunrise and don't want to spend a lot of time. I would give it 5 stars but there is a slight rumble in the empty rack that can be remedied with a few more U-bolts.

This "trunk extender" was installed on the rear of the Honda Rancher as well as the Honda Rincon. Not only has this Kolpin increased the surface area of the rack from side to side and front to back, it also has sides and multiple bungee cord connection points for attaching gear. I've used this for 5 gallon buckets, coolers, chainsaws, fishing gear, hunting gear and 2 adult men over 200lbs on a Rincon luggage rack to get out of the woods and back to game camp. Looking forward to installing this new rack on my ATV. The item was well packaged and arrived in good condition. The parts do not fit together properly as they are clearly not to specification. Comparing one side to the other you could see that the holes in the tube were drilled in the wrong places and it was something I couldn't easily fix myself. Overall I'm sticking with my stance and it seems pretty solid. has the name of the company and glued to the frame was taken out of the frame and glued on according to my instructions. I put it together fairly easily after getting my hex set from the garage because the one that came with it didn't fit the screws and kept slipping out.
