That's great! He loves it

Bought for my trucker husband. We were a little unsure if this would work. That's great! He loves to! And he brags about it to people who smell the stew, chicken wings, ribs, burritos, etc. he's "cooking" in the truck! Not to mention, when it's cold on the mountain roads, he doesn't have to settle for cold sandwiches! In any case, there are no restaurants or takeaways on his street. It was a great product! We recommend!

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities

Great for people who work in the field

It's pretty cool. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because the cable is bulky. It would be better if there was a way to store it. Secondly I've used it a lot and the internal heating element fell out, I was able to put it back on with no problems, I just hope that doesn't mean it's the beginning of the end. Otherwise the update works great. The thing still works! I've dropped it, kicked it, left it in the desert heat, left it in the cold, even used it to warm my gloves, it's pretty…

I love the extended cord.

This portable oven works as advertised. The first time I used it, I placed the leftover taco meat in a foil-covered glass jar. He heated it up to get warm in about 45 minutes. I have found that it is best to wrap food in foil. It heats two individually wrapped tacos/burritos etc. to the melting point of cheese in 30-40 minutes. I'll put everything I hear 1/2 hour earlier than I want. I was busy and forgot, and after an hour the food was burning my mouth. I think it's best to turn it halfway. A…

  • Cord is shorter than others

Got this for my partner in the ER who ate these little diet meals in the microwave in a minute or two. Unfortunately, we often can't get to the microwave during the day, so that seemed perfect. She turned it on about an hour before the scheduled meal. She reheated the food well but didn't keep it very well. Two metal prices would come together and a holy terror would separate us. Also, the metal interior above jumped out of the top plastic price point after just a few weeks of use. I think we…

Koolatron vs RoadPro

There is a big difference between this Koolatron model and the RoadPro copy. I owned both. Both cost the same and work well, but in different ways. The RoadPro runs at a higher power level so food is heated to a higher temperature much faster. He can also digest it if left there for too long. RoadPro took about 30 minutes to get meatloaf, potatoes and peas very hot. Koolatron takes about 1-1.5 hours to bring it up to the same heat level. The problem with the RoadPro is that your fuses are…

Love it!: Lunch Boxes

Bought for my friend who is a custom applicator or as most people would say a fertilizer sprayer. At this time of year, he sits in a giant tractor-terragator for up to 18 hours a day. After living on meat dishes and sandwiches from April to September for 20 years, he's very glad he has it. On the first day he brought the leftover pizza and said that after 15 minutes it was like fresh from the restaurant. He tried everything from Hot Pockets to leftover Tatorto Casserole and everything was…

Koolatron won't blow your fuses!

If you're looking for a portable oven for your car, check out the Koolatron 12V Oven. I'm a "local" taxi truck driver and I use my stove to reheat the Nutrisystem meals I take to work every day (mostly soups or soup-like foods like broccoli cheddar rice, three cheese chicken and noodles, etc.). i.e. ). I first tried the RoadPro stove, but even though it was rated for 12 amp max, it REPEATED my car's 15 amp fuse - sometimes daily, sometimes twice in a matter of minutes! The Koolatron is rated…
