🌡️ Koyorad A1998 Performance Radiator Review

Fits my 2002 4runner but only lasted about a year before it broke and had to be replaced. I have never had to swap my original OEM heatsink for a Chinese one. Buyer Warning.

Fits my 2002 3rd generation 4runner with no problem. Koyorad is a very high quality and affordable radiator that you can trust to avoid strawberry milkshakes. This, combined with an external transmission cooler, will keep you on the road for a while. UPDATE: Well I thought all of the above was true. Don't waste time with the aftermarket when it comes to critical components like the radiator. Only lasted about 9 months and the seals are already leaking and making a pleasant mess. Better get that

Got this for my 97 4runner. Was surprisingly easy to install. Everything fell into place, it remains only to drain the liquid from one, pull it out and replace it. Lots of reviews online. Looks really well built. My original radiator still worked perfectly, but after 275,000 miles it felt like it was outdated. Replacing an old radiator was one of the first things I did to my 2000 Toyota 4Runner LTD after buying it with 232,000 miles on it. The OEM cooler still went strong. So it was preventive maintenance. The Koyorad A1998 was recommended as a replacement on the largest 4Runner forum, so I went with it. Straight screw, no fuss, no problem. When replacing the radiator I also changed the red coolant to Toyota red (50/50) and also replaced the upper and lower radiator hoses, radiator cap, thermostat…
