Description of πŸ”© KREG SDK C2SS 100: Highly-Durable 2 Inch Coarse Stainless Screws for Superior Performance

100 Screws. Stainless Steel for the highest possible rust and corrosion resistance. Flat bottom head creates secure hold, won't split the workpiece. Self-Tapping tip drills a hole while it's driven. KTX Square Drive provides incredible cam-out resistance, less spinning, more driving.

Works best with screws

These Kreg deck screws have a smaller head and different shape than many Kreg wood screws. I needed two inch stainless steel wood screws and they worked well despite my initial surprise at the size and profile of the head. Other reviewers have reported issues with screw breakage. Anyway, I rode them with a bumpless driver and had no problems. Another data point to consider if you're concerned about this.

Pros
  • 100 screws
Cons
  • Can't remember

Random sized heads get stuck in Kreg Deck Jig

I bought a Kreg Deck Jig and stainless steel screws. I quickly snapped off a couple of square head screws and had to pry them out with a visegrim. There were a few good drives and then one of the screws got stuck in the jig. The head was too big for the guide. The inner guide was pushed out from below and the plastic holder broke. Of course the screw was built into the deck and the square head has now been removed. I had to break the screw to remove the attachment and knock the head out in one…

Pros
  • Self-tapping bit drills holes on the fly
Cons
  • Some small things

I used a Kreg Deck Jig on my 10 x 20 porch with composite decking. The template itself worked perfectly. Hold the jig tight while drilling. Modernization fell on a screwdriver or even more, up to the retaining ring. The shank screw is too short and too soft for steel. What happens is that the ring slides up the driveshaft after only a few bolts are tightened. I removed the collar and placed a small flat spot on the screwdriver. I also went to my local hardware store and bought a new set screw…

Pros
  • Stainless steel for maximum rust and corrosion resistance
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
