Krups 452-7B ProAroma 12 Plus Coffeemaker, White - Limited Availability, DISCONTINUED Review

We had to spend a lot of time cleaning the coffee maker because the coffee was left in the machine and spilled over it and the packaging. This purchase was to replace a similar Krups coffee maker that was leaking. The coffee from this machine is adequate but not as good as the one it replaced.

We've only had this coffee maker for a few weeks but so far we're quite happy with it. The biggest plus is that we didn't have any tough coffee with this machine. We had two different Mr Coffee's and Hamilton Beach and all three let the water fill the basket until the ground coffee overflowed into the carafe. We also like the fact that this coffee maker can be adjusted for small batches of coffee. However, given the price, it's hard to see why it doesn't have an auto shut-off or clock.

We received this coffee maker as a wedding present. It worked great and made great coffee for two years. Then suddenly the digital display went out and we could only turn it on every now and then. I have just returned this coffee maker having received it less than a few hours ago. The block is defective, it does not deliver water to the carafe. I've been a Krups fan for years and have had several of their coffee makers and when they work they are excellent. This product appeared to me to be refurbished as there were scratches on the outside which should not be on a brand new product. I bought a Revain Krups Pro Aroma Plus coffee maker because the previous Krups machine we owned for over a decade worked so well and made great coffee . Unfortunately, the new car arrived with a bent bottom, so it shook a lot. This coffee maker makes great coffee! We've been drinking a lot more coffee since we bought it. It is also very easy to use. Some of the other reviews appear to apply to the 453, which appears identical to the 452 except for the controls. This model has only two switches. One switch is the power switch and the other switch selects either 1-3 cups or 4-12 cups. There are no other controls in this model. This makes the coffee machine very easy to use!
