Great cable lock when you need to use a cable lock. The cable is thick and the lock dials are machined to very tight tolerances so it would be difficult to crack without a code (we tried when we forgot the combination). I wish it was longer, but then it would be too thick if rolled up an extra turn, or too big to fit in the tight confines of the bike. The mount is flexible and strong, and even on some mountain bike rides we haven't lost the lock yet.

I've used a U-lock for years, but it's often difficult to find something to attach it to. This gives me enough flexibility to wrap around lamp posts and small trees, and the thick cord should resist cutting well. I know it's not as reliable as the U, but it's well built, easy enough to install (even with gloves) and long enough to get the job done. I keep mine in my bag though, as I often ride over rough terrain long enough to detach it from the included bike rack.

I've only used this lock for 7 months and it broke and Revane says I can't use it anymore - and it was a replacement for the same lock! The combination lock would not open on the first purchase. This time, at exactly 7 months old, the prong that fits into the cylinder with the RPMs sheared off and got stuck in the cylinder - now it's completely unusable; Now it's just more expensive paper pulp.
