This item arrived with a broken cap/sharpener and is unusable. The cap was on the bottle but the sharpener was broken and lying on the bottom of the bottle. Should be returned but busy getting me out of the way.

It doesn't give a super long point which I didn't want but works well, picks up shavings (a personal must for me) and gives a great sharp edge BUT you must Walk slowly and lightly and don't push too hard. I love it!

I want to like it so I'll replace it. I've never sharpened a pencil before the little piece of plastic holding it in place broke. I love this shaper and have several pencils without a shavings can. Was hoping it was a defective item.

My sharpener just arrived. Fast delivery. However, it arrived broken. The black plastic sleeve that secures the sharpener to the lid had a tiny piece broken off, causing the metal sharpener to fall out of the plastic sleeve. I hope I can tape it to the remaining plastic case to secure it. Hopefully. I'll update my review if I can get it working.

I do math for a living and my favorite writing instrument is a freshly sharpened wooden pencil. very fine tip without tip click. The sharpener sharpens my pencils in fewer turns meaning less pencil is used to get a sharp point meaning my pencils last longer. A large glass jar keeps my shavings out of the way of the blade so the blade is always free of debris. If you need a pencil sharpener, buy this one and don't look back.

I really like Kum magnesium sharpeners. I keep a few in stock because they go well with different pen brands and pen types. However, I don't have much dexterity, so using them without getting chips everywhere is frustrating at times. I bought one of the red long tip sharpeners but haven't learned how to use it.
