I like it. on drawing media

I really love these pens. One end is small and hard while the other is free, like a brush. It is ideal for writing Chinese/Japanese calligraphy.

Pros
  • Beautifully packaged
Cons
  • Tradeable

Universal pen for painters and calligraphers

I like this pen because one end is like a brush that I use to draw broad Arabic strokes. You don't have to use bleed paper when using the brush for heavier strokes.

Pros
  • Positive Only
Cons
  • No insurance

Favorite Japan Pen

My Favorite Japan Pen! Better than other standalone calligraphy pens I have in small sizes. The slim size is perfect for small squares like Midori notebooks. The big side can get some ink, but I sometimes use it to darken squares or flesh out kanji with big strokes.

Pros
  • Special Offer
Cons
  • No Presentation

The perfect pen to improve your writing style

Item arrived on time. Ideal for writing practice as well as more complex calligraphy. The size makes it perfect for the "next step" in using a real brush (Fude). The ink dries instantly, making writing easier for beginners or those unfamiliar with stroke writing. Highly recommended for improving your writing skills.

Extra incentive to practice kanji

I like using pens for cursive calligraphy, but I've never tried using a brush or a special pen for Japanese kanji. I have about 2000 characters to learn, so I have to practice a lot. This pen brings a bit of fun to this challenging task. I got some kanji practice books from Revain and now I have no excuse not to practice! I am very happy with this purchase.

Pros
  • Drawing
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

My favorite all-purpose pen.

Actually the only pen I use except for watercolors. Great for use alone or with alcohol based markers (I use Prisma markers). I keep a minimalist approach to my art supplies: I want a one size pen rather than lugging around several different sizes. The smaller tip is ideal for lining. Depending on how hard you press it you can get very thin lines or nice thick lines. The brush tip is great for large black stripes and I also use it for lettering in my bullet journal. That's enough for a decent…

Pros
  • Arts, Crafts & Sewing
Cons
  • Only available in white
