This thing is amazing! We needed the ability to park our EM in the third row of our Highlander while driving. He has severe separation anxiety so he ran past the kids to get to us. It holds up so well! He weighs about 135 pounds and that's what keeps him in place! I really didn't want to put the cage in the back so I was very excited when it worked out so well! Please note we have a 2015 Highlander with captain's chairs. Fits perfectly.

This was a better design than the last one I used, but it didn't last long. On my second ride with the dogs, the headband, which is supposed to provide extra stability, punctured the stitching and could have punctured one of my dogs. Also, I didn't find them sitting that high in the seats. as the picture suggests once installed which allowed my dogs to handle it with minimal fuss. Can't decide whether to give it 3 or 4 stars? You really need quick couplers to connect to the headrests. It would be nice to take it off when you don't need it, but it's too difficult to remove the headrests every time. Functionally it is very good and keeps our dogs in the back. We use a hammock in the back seat so it's only there to block the space between the headrests so it's overkill but gets the job done. We have 2 medium sized dogs.
