Working well - power and hand tools

Bought some time ago, used for the first time recently. It only seems to be optimized for a specific nut size. In my case, the M8 cage nut fit like a glove and went in with ease. Too bad this version was discontinued.

Pros
  • Wrench
Cons
  • Empty

Saves from bloody fingers.

Simple device. Easy to use. Has kept my fingers from bleeding when installing cage nuts. A possible improvement would be to use a magnetic material and magnetize it to hold the nut in place while you are about to insert it. Or stick a small magnet on it somewhere so you can hold the nut in place.

Pros
  • Adjustable wrench
Cons
  • Quick start guide

Second Best Cage Nut Tool

The only tool that outperforms this tool is the Offset style, which is larger, more complex, and a bit more expensive, although I wouldn't call it an expensive tool. I have both and use both - sometimes each one shines. And both have worked MIRACLES when it came to keeping my arms from breaking while working on racks.

Pros
  • INCLUDED IN DELIVERY: You will receive a cage nut tool for installing or removing M4, M5, M6 cage nuts on server racks. Material: aluminum.
Cons
  • No performance

A bit pricey but it's easy on your fingers!

This little tool is a little overpriced, but you'll be glad you have it when you need it. I had to rearrange 3 full size equipment racks and this tool saved me. It's easy to use and small enough to carry around even a small tool bag. Heck, I keep it in my laptop bag. You never know when you'll need it. There is no perfect tool for installing/removing strut nuts, but this tool makes the tedious and potentially painful process effortless and painless.

Pros
  • FAST AND EASY: Assembly is quick and easy. Place the cage nut into the jaws of the tool, and then squeeze the sides of the cage nut to easily insert the cage nut into the hole.
Cons
  • Non-Automatic

REAL FRUIT REMOVAL.

If you've spent time assembling an IT rack, putting nuts in the cage is a problem even for my gorilla fingers. This adjustable tool makes things easy and I'm sure I could have used it last week when I needed to install a router in a crowded closet that had the rack nuts NOT in the correct positions. It would ease this impossible situation by installing some rack nuts on the side of the ONE RU hole in the full rack. If you understand this, YOU NEED ONE OF THESE. I BOUGHT TWO TO ALWAYS HAVE ONE…

Pros
  • REMOVE AND INSTALL: The kwmobile cage nut tool is a simple solution to the tedious methods of installing and removing cage nuts on 10" or 19" network cable braids and will be a necessary companion for all installation and removal jobs.
Cons
  • Some bugs
