KYB 555055 Gas A Just Gas Shock Review

KYB makes a great product. I recommend this brand for all vehicles of the customers I work with. They drive almost the same as the originals than other cheaper brands like Monroe. I bought these for my 2014 Silverado 4x4 1500. Perfect fit as expected. The ride is firm, as a truck should be, but not like some off-road aftermarket brands. If you're looking for factory-like suspension and a shock that will last, this is it.

I needed to replace the stock shock absorbers at 95k with KYB. Installation was a bit tricky at first as the bumps went beyond the attachment points. So I used my heavy jack to raise the shock so it was level for installing the bolt. That's the only thing that slowed me down a bit. It took me about 2 hours to complete. When I was done I drove it around town and it was worth installing them both. Good product. customer for life!

all I can say is buy these if you need new shock absorbers for your GM truck. What a noticeable difference from OEM. I pick up a coworker every day and the day after I installed theses on my 2011 GMC Sierra I said nothing to my coworker and a few blocks later he asked what I did to the truck and I wondered why ? He said the ride felt a lot less bumpy and smooth, and I told him I just replaced the rear shocks with KYBs. I'm amazed at the difference, as is my delivery colleague.

Purchased KYB 555055 Gas-A-Just shock absorbers from Sold/supplied by Revain. The price was significantly cheaper than the local parts store. Installation time was about 15 minutes. with the right tools. They replaced OEM ACDelco #20955410 shock absorbers with over 165,000 miles on them. The ride is noticeably different, with a firmer feel, reduced rebound and better cornering.
