had better. in shocks

Damping could be stiffer for my Dodge Ram 3500. Good enough when driving on smooth paved roads, but feels sloppy when crossing railroad tracks and in those sticky situations. I didn't expect them to be as good as Bilstein but it was better.

Pros
  • Maximizes performance with up to 40% more damping efficiency than stock shocks
Cons
  • Not bad

Monomax on my 3/4 ton

I replaced my stock shocks because they were too hard, I felt every hit 3 times. Everyone I spoke to said their 3/4 ton of every brand ran hard until they changed the shocks. These Monomax were spot on for the price. Now my truck drives GREAT like the half ton I sold.

Pros
  • Monotube truck design outperforms all other stock shocks
Cons
  • embarrassing

Great driving improvement!

These shocks improved the ride of my 2005 Dodge 3/4t. The stock shocks aren't even close. Given how many times a shock absorber will cycle on a good, flat road, why save a few bucks and buy a cheaper one? You get more than your money back for better ride, better handling and shorter braking distances and less tire wear.

Pros
  • Installation Type: Vehicle Specific
Cons
  • Operating Speed

Replaced Bilstien 5100 with Monomax.

Wow. What a difference to a worn out Bilstein 5100. The rear shock absorbers are simply worn out. Must be changed every 5-6 years, no matter whose shock absorber you buy. A source of annoying noise has been found when the shock absorber has worn down to about two-thirds of its original size. Started punching out the socket. Kyb is the same length as 5100, expanded or compressed. Much slower to expand and much harder to compress. My Bilsteins were two years later than I should have changed them.

Pros
  • The perfect solution if you want to improve the suspension performance of your Dodge truck
Cons
  • No paint required

I bought 4 KYB Monomax shocks plus a KYB steering stabilizer for my 2007 RAM 2500 4X4. The KYB steering stabilizer was the first. What else needed to be done, the original OEM stabilizer that I removed did its job much better so I replaced it with a KYB unit after only 3 months on the car . I installed all the KYB equipment on my truck in June 2015. My front end was vibrating and bouncing at around 65-70 mph, so I went to a tire shop and had my road tires balanced (I thought that was theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Rubber boot to protect the shaft and prevent dirt and debris from getting on the seals
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
