Replaced my old quad shocks with these. Really stopped.

Replaced my old quad shocks with these. Really stopped my bike hop. You must use spacers on a 2000 Mustang GT and the front spacer is difficult to install but fits well when you do.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Wrinkled

Not the best. but will do

I ordered a pair for the back of my '97 Mustang GT. Factory shock absorbers were completely disassembled. The only problem I had with these replacement parts was that the ones I got had to be sharpened with a chainsaw sharpener just to get them to fit because they were poorly made and everything inside still had bits of metal that they attached to prevented from fitting in my wagons. . After using both shocks for about 30 minutes I was able to tighten them in the back and cut the strap to match

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Nothing

They work fine. A bit harder than I expected

Works well. A little harder than I expected. These are Mustang side shocks. It wasn't clear from the post. These will fit if you have standard size vertical shocks. However, if you have large shocks or air shocks they will not work as they are much wider than the factory quad shocks and will not fit. Gaskets do not help with this configuration. I had to buy new vertical shocks to fit. Therefore 3 stars.

Great product for the price!

These four shock absorbers greatly improve traction and ride quality. They arrived well packaged and you can clearly see that the parts are made in Japan, which is usually an indication of good quality for many car parts. In my case they were installed on a '98 Cobra. They were something of a bear to put in their place, but one day they're not going anywhere. They were installed along with a set of secondary Lakewood brake stays. Remember - these quad shocks are significantly larger than the…

Works great as a quad shock on my 2004 Mustang GT

Works great as a quad shock on my 2004 Mustang GT Convertible. Installation was easy with an air ratchet. The shock absorbers are compressed by a plastic band that holds them together. The front bracket on the car (the one with the nut welded on) needs to be moved apart slightly to facilitate fitting with the spacer provided. I laid an old piece of 1" pipe about a foot long on one side of the bracket and hammered it in. It didn't look like it would move, but after that the brace popped up…
