Terrible delivery speed

Shock absorbers are fine and work as expected from KYB. My problem is the price and shipping. The box was supposed to arrive a week after ordering and was then late. If I had searched better online I would have found them much cheaper and faster with free shipping. So my advice is when it comes to auto parts, don't assume Revain has the best price and delivery.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Almost never

Could cause you to confuse your Panther with the Series 7.

Okay, that won't be a new series of the Bavarian Seven, but it's not that far. a feeling of seasickness that Monroe's previous set just couldn't. Much less dive under hard braking, much more control when changing lanes. They really make the Panther platform shine!

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • A few little things

Big shocks! on shock

I bought these shocks for my 1996 Impala SS. The car is 20 years old, shock absorbers removed. I have been using the KYB Gas-a-Just Monotube for many years now. These are the best dampening and rebound dampeners I have ever used. The suspension is compliant and lacks the body feel of much more expensive and traditional brands. The cushioning is a two-stage system. They are not regulated. The KYB shocks are very strong and spring back quickly and quietly. After trying many brands I am very…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • No instructions

It fits 2WD Dakotas and Durangos. Check Rock Auto to confirm part number.

Despite what Revain says, KG5458 is the correct part number for some RWD Dodge Dakotas and Durangos with coil spring front suspension. This is the same part number as Rock Auto. Be prepared for the unpleasant task of replacing them. These are very good shock absorbers for the money. Made in Japan, lighter and faster than original equipment. I've wanted to do this job for a while and wow what a difference oil shocks make.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • poorly thought out

1997 Dodge Dakota Upgrade

What a phenomenal difference in overall ride quality and road holding, but a star for installing some shock bushings that looked about half the size of the originals. I assumed the engineering geniuses at KYB would know better, but the truck has weird harmonic vibrations in the front end between 30 and 40 mph. Now I have to take it all apart again and put in much stronger Mopar OE bushings (#52087768) but now I like the ride quality much better and while I'm there I'll change the controls…

Pros
  • Durability Finish
Cons
  • Damaged
