These are excellent shock absorbers when riding

These are excellent shock absorbers when riding, not too hard and not too soft. I was taken for a walk and I'm enjoying it! You will like them too I think.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Repair

Good Choice: Spares

I installed these mono-tube dampers on a 1990 Volvo 240 as part of a restoration. Since then I've bet about 8,000 on them. You shot exactly what I wanted. They offer extra stability without sacrificing ride quality. This is probably the best choice for the price.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Not the best

KYB - they're still made in Japan

I put these bad boys on the back of my 1976 245 and now my car drives better than it did in 1976! I was also a little shocked to see (laughs, got it?) that they're still made in Japan. Maybe they're just old stock, but I couldn't figure out how affordable they were. The build quality is as good as the 40 year old OEMs I just pulled off. I hope this is the last and last kit this machine will ever need.

Pros
  • Easy Install
Cons
  • So So

Happy with the product but the instructions are not clear enough.

I am very satisfied with the product, the quality and the functionality as expected. My mechanic had trouble understanding the paper setup instructions. So in the end they weren't regulated at all and were installed when they arrived. The rear of my Volvo drives like a pickup! LAUGH OUT LOUD! Anyway, the mechanic said he would try again to adjust. But, hey, these puppies are getting really tough! The ride is smooth when its rear end is filled with heavy stuff, so I know the shocks are doing…

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Without automatic

1977 Volvo 264GL B27E rear shock absorbers KYB KG5333

Shock absorbers arrived yesterday 4th September via STD Revain is sending DPD this time. I ordered it on August 24th. This Japanese-made KYB shock appears to have good build quality and comes with great, solid packaging. Built in and stability on the road Now the Volvo has greatly improved! . Originally ordered a Monroe 5868 OESpectrum and a 73950 strut but a leaking and rusty rear shock was delivered. Got a refund and ordered these KYB shocks instead. Very happy with this KYB product, a direct

Pros
  • This is amazing

Midsize Car Driveability Improvement

I installed it on my '93 Volvo 240. KYB GasAdjust shock absorbers are mono-tube shock absorbers. They've been around for years and feature valving/throttle to boost factory sprung cars for more power. Most reviews that say they're stiff are probably using them with lowering springs, which inherently have a higher spring rate. If you combine standard length shock absorbers with lowered springs, the shock absorbers can actually fall off, which will definitely get you in the teeth. I paired them…

Pros
  • Solid Construction
Cons
  • Hard to Tell
