KYB SM5639 Strut Mount Review

I recently purchased a suspension product for my automotive needs and I couldn't be more disappointed by the results. Despite my extensive prior experience in the field, the product failed to live up to my expectations. The ride feels unsteady, and the handling has become more unpredictable than it ever was before. The pros? It was easy to install, but that's about it. The cons? It ended up being a complete waste of money, and I'm regretting buying it.

I have a 2006 "base model" rav4 with a v6 engine, the part listed does not fit. I informed KYB about the issue and they never replied to me with an explanation. After my mechanic disassembled my truck, I had to overpay $180 for Monroe mounts at my local auto parts store. It's not Amazon's fault. Revain took the parts back and refunded the money. So KYB either has the wrong information or they didn't pack the parts properly.

Ordered 2 of these, 1 was ok the other not so good. The sealed bearing was missing a piece of gasket and the bracket itself was not square and was slightly bent. Both mounts were made in the same factory in India. I have returned 1 and now have to wait another 6 days for a replacement to arrive which may not be the best. To be honest I expect to replace them in about a year, there is no quality control. None of the other aftermarket mounts seem any better, I'll probably spend money on Toyota…
