🔧 Enhance Steering Control with KYB SS15326 Steering Stabilizer Review

Bought as a last resort to fix the terrible "death delay" on my Chevy Tahoe. Finally a decent driver! Slightly oversized and offset wheels and tires didn't make this thing fun to drive. This damper fixed the issues and it's riding great again. Very easy to install, although the instructions leave a lot to be desired. Highly recommended! Don't let the pictures of the brackets fool you into thinking they look cheap. I thought they looked slight in the photos but they are very muscular!

It's not easy to install and if you have a front diff skid plate it will interfere with reinstallation. The shock frame mount is installed between the skid plate and the frame, so I had to add a spacer on the other side. Didn't notice any difference in handling. I bought it to help with steering slip on my '97 K1500 but it made no difference. In the end I just removed the steering gear and reflashed it following the GM service manual. The two sets of bolts, washers, lock washers, and nuts that attach the stationary end of the stabilizer bar to the truck frame aren't very fun to assemble if you have big hands. Mostly blindly in a very small space. However, I can't say anything bad about the kit as it is GM's fault. This is the only way to install it. KYB is all about quality and this kit showed that. I have a Silverado 02 with a 6" Fabtech lift and I use 37x14 wide tires and I had this horrible front end shake that I get couldn't get rid of . I literally replaced every part of the front suspension and still have it. I took this as a last resort and it was the best decision I've ever made. difference between day and night. No more rowing and deadly wobbles. Definitely worth the money.
