🔪 Kyocera Black Wide Julienne Slicer with Advanced Ceramic Technology Review

The mandolin slicer was smaller than I expected but for the most part it does what it's supposed to do. Julienne are very good although not cheap but as the blades are ceramic they should last a very long time.

This slicer will not slice carrots into thin sticks. If carrots go through the mechanism at all, it turns out mush. The little shark fin blades that are supposed to cut the julienne are plastic and don't work. I would return but missed the return window.

After looking at this for a year I finally get it. I have a ceramic plane and use it almost every day. I really thought this julienne would become my most used kitchen tool. The problem isn't the width, it's the thickness. It is so thin that it is sliced rather than in strips. Its thickness is about 2 mm. Not even 3, that's the minimum. I got a great price for it so I don't miss it much but I REALLY wanted to make it my tool and it fails.

Love this company's adjustable food slicer, have had it for 5 years and it is still sharp and works great. This item works very well too. but almost like a shredder. The product is not faulty but the julienne is very small and the description says "wide" - don't be fooled. It makes very thin, very thin julienne, which is fine if that's what you want and expect. Just know what you're getting and enjoy the perfect little matches.

With this you get professional thinness (Amazon description says 1/8 inch but the one that arrived was 1/10 inch or 0.1 inch compared to 0.09 inch for normal julienned cuts I don't know, I think there is a big difference between advertising this product and offering a "wide" julienne (the size difference is so small you probably can't tell) the julienne cuts easily and quickly!
