Quality is consistently good for cutlery and knife accessories

I was reluctant to buy this knife after looking at other knives costing well over a hundred bucks. However, I chose this one and I am not at all disappointed with the quality and feel. I've used it for skinning and butchering salmon and love how easily it cuts. It's long, but I can handle it. Although I only had about two months.

Good knife at a low price

The design is beautiful. For me the weight is normal. The price justifies the purchase. The knife's only downside is that there is a gap between the handle and the blade, which can eventually lead to rust (from hand washing the knife) or contamination with various proteins. If used correctly, such problems can be avoided. I've only used the knife once so far, but it's damn sharp.

Pros
  • Finally bought
Cons
  • There are doubts

Great sushi knife for beginners

This knife has all the qualities of a good sushi knife but at a much lower price. Since my sushi skills aren't perfect, it only took me a knife to see the benefits of such a long, single-bevel utensil when making good sushi. This knife will eventually allow me to see what I need and what I don't need in a next level knife. If it turns out to be poor quality, I'm not losing much $$$$, unlike $200+ devices on the market.

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • Annoying

Good quality steel but needs finishing

I was surprised at how heavy this knife was when I took it out of the box and when I saw that the tip was about 1/4 inch thick, i understood why The knife has a single bevel with a micro bevel near the cutting edge. When I used my whetstones to enhance the edge, I found that the factory sharpening was very inconsistent. In some places it was flat and correct. Others had large indentations that I had to level so I could use my stones all the way around the rim. This required a significant amount

Great entry-level sushi knife

This knife has all the qualities of a good sushi knife but at a much lower price. Since my sushi skills aren't perfect, all I needed was a knife so I could see the benefits of such a long, single-bevel implement in making good sushi. This knife will eventually allow me to see what I need and what I don't need in a next level knife. If it turns out to be poor quality, I'm not losing much $$$$, unlike $200+ devices on the market.

  • Nice packaging

Too heavy for my needs

Can't comment on the performance of the knife. I received it very quickly, opened it up and started feeling it. In all honesty, the knife is exactly what it claims to be. This is a very powerful knife. The blade is thick, can be 3mm or 3.5mm at the tip. The problem for me is that I was looking for a working knife. While someone might be happy to have one of these for occasional use in their personal kitchen, I doubt I would be able to use such a large and heavy knife all day, every day. Carpal…
