is this what you need

If you need them (like me, for hooking up an RV) they're great. I think I found them at Home Depot for $40 each. I made it myself for a lot less money and it worked great!

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Long lead time

Good value for money - connector

It was easy to install but when connecting to the cable the pins slipped out of the plastic. I have not had this with a similar Leviton product. It worked well and fitted well in the socket.

Pros
  • Excellent price
Cons
  • Easy to repair

Great for medium loads

I use this for my portable generator which only shuts off when there is a power cut which luckily we don't have often. If I were using it for heavy daily work I would probably choose a more durable fork, but this one is great for my application.

Pros
  • High test scores for support and durability
Cons
  • Bad experience

A Basic model: Electric

No cable clamp at the rear end (rubber sealing ring hole). the plastic seems average and usable (I only need it for a week). Let me just say that if you are going to use it for a long term installation in a harsh environment, you can get yours from a "famous" brand.

Pros
  • Noble design
Cons
  • Unfashionable

Exactly as advertised.

I needed to make an adapter cable so I could connect a generator with a 3-wire outlet to a 4-wire outlet in my house. There was plenty of room inside the connector body to route cables if needed. Now that it's fully assembled it feels solid and works great. Much cheaper than ordering custom wire with the ends I need.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • All right

Don't know what's going on

I wrote a review about the socket I bought for the connector. They don't connect to each other The plug snaps into my generator's 30 amp cord, but it won't plug into my house outlet. It connects but doesn't snap. A larger generator set is on the way, it will be hooked up with a 50 amp cable for central air conditioning, freezer, lighting. a smaller generator will probably work well with a pump and cooler.

Pros
  • Surprising
Cons
  • Some errors

The assembly to which you connect individual cables is sufficient. However, I find the construction of the entire tether locking mechanism cheap, poorly designed, and not particularly effective. Unlike the more typical clamp assembly that bolts on, this end cap has a flimsy molded plastic clamp assembly that just won't grip. I will buy another product.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • old
