Tough transition from Altra but worth the transition

Was looking for Vibram Megagrip soles and couldn't find the old Altra MT Kings style. I knew they would be tighter and a bit small. But they were painful after my first hike: sore toes, hot spot under a heel, and general foot pain. Added Superfeet insoles and that did everything except getting used to the smaller sock size. So far I am happy with the shoes. I haven't had a chance to ride them on the bumpy, wet trails of the mountains of New Hampshire or New York. But they seem to be moreโ€ฆ

Garbage pickup and garbage shoes for money

Where to start? The shoes arrived over a week late which frustrated me. After ordering another pair they finally arrived with a day's supply. The shoes were very small and narrow. Even if I hadn't already ordered another pair, I would return them. They seem sturdy enough but the glue ran out of the sole and looked poorly constructed. I'm so glad I chose Salomons, this company is rubbish and I will always defy them from now on. 0/5 The only highlight was Revane's ability to get me back.

Works on my feet - Men

Every foot is different. For my feet I have not found a better composition than La Sportiva. My feet care more about the specific shape and structure of the shoe than the lining. This shoe suits my foot issues and the type of terrain I run on (Rocky Mountains, Utah deserts and canyons). I have bought Bushido before and bought it again. My feet are where shoes die. La Sportiva shoes are better than most, even if I run the way I run. The top always breaks first because I'm drowning in mudโ€ฆ

Great shoes, great product, but are they less than just these running shoes?

I am a regular customer so I have experience with this brand. I would suggest trying them on first as I'm a little confused by the sizing of the different options they offer. If you want a comfortable shoe, very light, not like the old clunky hiking boots, durable, mostly synthetic materials, with good tread, good arch support, good cushioning etc. I had to go 1.5 taller and I'll explain why, but part of my feet got bigger because i haven't worn shoes for a long time as we don't have shoeโ€ฆ

Buy a half size for wide feet and you will have great shoes!

I walk through the woods of western Pennsylvania. Clay soil, shale and limestone outcrop with many exposed roots and non-convex topography. I saw this shoe voted best running shoe for rough terrain by Runners World magazine, so I took it and I've already done three runs. Here's my take: Overall: I have a high arch and wide foot (11E) so I'm grateful for the many reviews suggesting I buy this shoe a half size up. Made too tight but fits my foot perfectly. The heel and toe fit is good. The shoeโ€ฆ
