Great for wood. Not much for drywall.

This beast is made of thick stock and built to last. And powder coated. I bought it for the price/rating. If you're cutting in wood, that's great. If you're just cutting drywall. thicker material generates a lot of drywall dust. The teeth are aggressive and very prone to snagging.

Pros
  • Electric Drill Parts & Accessories
Cons
  • Not Sure

Good drill but check the depth!

This was perfect for my project. The blade was sharp and cut well. However, the drill bit wasn't deep enough to go through the board I'm cutting, which meant I had to go front to back and then back to front to get a clean cut. Hard to blame the drill, definitely "user error" as they say. However, make sure it is deep enough for your intended use.

Pros
  • Power Tools and Hand Tools
Cons
  • Very Expensive

Not the best choice for recessed lights.

I knew I would probably ruin the blade but thought it would hold a few holes in degreased drywall for some built in lights. I was able to get him to cut 2 holes before the teeth were completely gone! It might have been better if it just cut drywall, but with a layer of plaster the blade didn't stand a chance! Just a few things to keep in mind if you are considering buying this saw for installing recessed lights. Do yourself a favor and buy the right tool for the job, a MAGBIT carbide tool…

Pros
  • Hole Saws and Accessories
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
