Not compatible with the New 16-inch MacBook Pro. Compatible only with the 15-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar Model A1707 released 2016-2017 and Model A1990 released 2018-2019. Connects to the USB Type-C ports and Audio port on the MacBook Pro with Touch Bar. The included 96W LandingZone US Power Adapter powers the docking station and provides enough power to charge the MacBook under most conditions. Connect multiple monitors to the HDMI 1, HDMI 2, Mini DisplayPort, or USB Type-C Passthrough port. A total of 3 external monitors can be connected to the LandingZone. Adapters may be necessary to connect some displays to the LandingZone. Thunderbolt monitors must be connected to the USB Type-C Passthrough Port. The built-in USB hub contains 3 USB 3.1 Type-C ports (Data Only / No Video / No Thunderbolt), 3 USB 3.1 Type-A ports (one charges at 1.5A), an Ethernet port, a two-way Audio jack, and the HDMI 2 port. The Left Wing contains a SD Card Slot, a Micro SD Card Slot, a Mini DisplayPort, and the HDMI 1 port. The Right Wing contains a USB Type-C Passthrough port that will support Thunderbolt devices. The LandingZone Docking Station for the MacBook Pro with Touch Bar is a USB Docking Station. It is not a Thunderbolt 3 Docking Station.

Connection issues right out of the box

I've been using this docking station in my home office for over a year now. If you're interested in my honest opinion, I was growing frustrated with my purchase and wish the manufacturer would really listen. From day one, the second HDMI port needs to be disconnected and reconnected when docking the laptop. I blamed it on a bad HDMI cable, but after a few tries and changing monitors, it's actually a docking station. Every few months something stops working. Currently the aux out doesn't work…

Not worth the money.

My biggest surprise when I took it out of the box was that it's made of plastic. Inside is a metal bar that gives it some stability, but the overall quality right out of the box leaves a lot to be desired. It's easy to connect, I carefully read the instructions, there is a slight caveat with the video outputs - but that's understandable, I chose the right cables, the output is double. My USB drives are different. They never stop because they are connected to a device that has its own power…

Tries. Not worth the money.

Pros: - it's a dock. Handles all individual connections. Cons: 3 USB-C ports on the back don't go through. So if you connect 2 monitors, e.g. B. Via DisplayPort to USB-C cables, one of them has a pass-through connector on the right side of the dock, and the other needs to be plugged into the single USB-C slot left behind. open on macbook. So every time you disconnect/reconnect the USB-C cable. This defeats the purpose of the dock, but I was willing to live with it until the next point. Ethernet

Great product and the ONLY option for a traditional style dock.

Works EXACTLY as expected. I sold my 2015 Macbook Pro so I bought a horizontal hengedock although the hengedock worked well and was very reliable. There were a few minor issues, all of which were resolved with the LandingZone Dock at a much lower cost. Some notes: 1. I don't know why people call the device "fancy". The only oddity I encountered was that when I first added monitors there was a mouse lag that went away after a few minutes (not sure if it was driver install time) and never came…

Works with quirks: Notebook accessories

I used this docking station every day at work for six months. This docking station can support up to three external monitors without daisy chaining and even leave the USB-C port open for an additional monitor if you wish (Apple supports 4 monitors). This works great for my setup. DISPLAYS: I have two LG 27UD88 monitors (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CDYB0QS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_ep_dp_CSnXBb0E9FSZ9) - one plugs into the right side of the USB-C pass-through. The other connects to the display port on the

Cons
  • Some small things

If you are looking for a docking station to place your Mac Book Pro 15" with TB on it, this one is sufficient BUT: - Unstable connection - Slows down the speed of all connected devices If you connect more than one slow device to the same USB 3.0-USB 3.1 chain Unstable, I think it might be my fault because I use it a lot with drives, audio interface, RAID drives etc. Poor design if you use it document and disconnect every tag.is lost, so I recommend locking it with a locking system on the back -

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
