Sharp and Portable Diamond Sharpener

Based on my observations, this compact sharpener keeps my knives razor sharp. The diamond coated rods provide a quick and efficient sharpening experience. The folding design allows for easy storage and portability. However, the sharpening angle may not work for all types of knives.

Pros
  • Efficient sharpening with two diamond grits for coarse and fine sharpening
Cons
  • May require frequent cleaning due to clogging of diamond grits

Ideal for D2 blades

A great sharpener for the price. Works very well on hard steels that are difficult to sharpen with ceramic sharpeners such as B. D2 or 440C steel. I have several D2 knives and this makes them sharp for shaving hair. I have never used a 280 sharpener as I touch up my knives before they need more extreme sharpening. I would not use a sharpener on softer steels like 1095 as ceramic works well on them and diamond seems too aggressive.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Expensive

Great item for bug bags.

I bought this for outdoor use (camping, hiking, bug bag) and I love the folding handle design. It's compact, but much easier and safer to use than trying to hold a 3-1/2 inch brick. This is a great item for a bug bag as it does not require water or oil to sharpen. The side (280 grit) gives a really dull blade, but the 600 grit (fine) side restores an edge that just needs a little touch up. I love Lansky products and this one lives up to their expectations in terms of quality. It's lightweight…

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
