Large Turkey Brine Heavy Cooking Review

Wonderful bags. We traditionally use cheaper grocery bags, so I doubt it's worth paying $15 for this product, but it's worth it. My husband is into dry brine and needs a strong product to hold all the juices. This year we had no problems with bird juice spilling onto the tray. I will continue to buy it for years to come.

I used to use Reynold Roast Bags for salting and always put my turkey in the fridge with my fingers crossed. It was a major upgrade - heavy-duty plastic, a secure zipper, and a few small plastic clips to secure the bag around the turkey to keep the bird submerged in the brine. My turkey was only 14 pounds this year and I think this bag will easily fit a bird over 20 pounds.

I bought these to salt a small boneless turkey breast. For my purposes it was huge; I think a whole turkey fits in here. However, this simply meant there was enough room for my salt mix and I didn't have to worry about it opening or overflowing. It has a zip closure which works well but for peace of mind you can use a rubber band or place the whole package in another container. They are very thick so I wasn't worried about the bag tearing or leaking. I highly recommend this product and will buy
