Fur. Will not work with 1970's gas lines.

When trying to install a Kenmore Ikea stove/oven in a 70's home, it SHOULD fit, but somehow it's 1/16" to 1/32" larger and WILL NOT SEAL. Proper sealing fluid was used, no luck. A paid installer will come, the gap is too big for the thread tape. I had to replace the pipe in the wall with new devices from this century, which made this part obsolete. The brass on this piece was "too soft anyway," according to the installer.

Additional specification required in product description

The threads on these adapters vary from product to product, as does the depth/length of each side of the port. Mine barely worked because the threads were too deep and I had to install a hard washer in the torch to make it work for my application. I was lucky to have a washing machine that was the right size, as well as other supplies to patch it up. I would appreciate detailed dimensions so I can continue to purchase an adapter that fits more easily.

Pros
  • Flare Socket with Fork Adapter
Cons
  • Low Serviceability

Incredibly hard to find on Hoam Dih Poh and other networks.

I was glad the wait was finally over. I installed the dryer gas line and shipped the dryer but the reducer was nowhere to be seen. I went back and forth and nothing fit, either it wasn't a flared thread or it was the wrong size. I read a previous review from a guy who had the same problem with a natural gas line that was 3/4 that he had to cut down to 1/2. The wait was too long to collect all the parts that were provided to me with the washer dryer. Oh, and they gave me the wrong kit too. Too…

Pros
  • Carded
Cons
  • Sparse instructions
