Doesn't work standing up. It falls over when scratched.

I was looking for a scratching post so my cats wouldn't scratch the dining room chairs. Since cats like to stand up (like the cat in the product photo) to scratch them, I figured this inclined scratching post would help. Although they used this product for scratching (after I added a lot of catnip), this product does NOT work while standing or hunched over as shown in the picture. I tipped it over and the cats wanted to scratch it and it immediately tipped over and scarred the cats. So instead…

Easy to remove and move

I have 2 approx 15 lb cats that even lying on the floor gets pulled for the first time as one of them tries to scratch him . It doesn't lay flat so although I ordered a wider one it is rounded so expect your kitty to roll off of it. I am not happy with this purchase but hopefully they will use it on the basement carpet and it will stay. I wanted carpet instead of the cheaper boxes they love because they have to constantly clean up the pieces. I'm going back to cardboard until someone invents a…

Finally stopped tearing up my sofa!

I bought this because my two cats suddenly decided my couch could make a great scratching post. I read the reviews so I didn't even try to put it against the wall, I just laid it flat next to the wall. Since I'm clearly the main cat in my family, I had to scratch my nails to show them what to do. They immediately got to work. At first they seemed to enjoy playing with it more than scratching it, and continued scratching on the couch. When I caught them scratching on the couch I just picked them

  • Absolutely amazing!

If your cat doesn't like vertical scratching posts.

Try this one. Unfortunately, I realized too late (the cat scratched the carpets and the corners of the stairs) that unlike my previous two cats, this cat will not use a vertical scratching post. But she took it right away, I mean right away, took it as her own and never scratched the carpet again. She understands that this is *her* and will do anything for him. I have two of these, one on top and one on the bottom, in places she often passes and she jumps on them as she goes by. In fact, you…

The best cat scratching post for your money!

This is the best and most durable notepad on the market in terms of value for money. First of all, it's not cardboard, which means it will last more than a week. In fact, it's a type of carpet material that will last a few years if four cats use it every day. I don't tilt it and it works better evenly. If one side gets dirty and eventually starts to break, I just turn it over. This extends usage for another year or so. It's also the best price for the amount of usage. My cats love it. All of…

Saved my scratching post Carpet

I had this scratching post once when it came with a foster cat and I would say it is one of the best horizontal scratching posts I have tried. I recently babysat two cats (I have them at home) and after stopping them from scratching the futon they soon started scratching my carpet. I've noticed that while they use the vertical scratching posts I have for my own cats, they also like horizontal surfaces, so I bought this scratching post to try. And it worked! A cat immediately stopped scratching…
