Ideal for leather processors.

Set of 26 leather embossing tools. Tools for making saddles of various shapes. Thread punching tools for leather work was what I wanted.

Pros
  • Handsome
Cons
  • Problem

Die defects

Can't believe these dies were made here in the USA. I had two pieces of metal over the embossing that left additional marks that ruined my leather.

Pros
  • Well built
Cons
  • There are drawbacks

Good for starters

I think 3/4 bars is enough. Some seem poorly shaped or have flat patterns that I'm not sure transfer well to skin. But for the price, even if 3/4 of these work, I think it's a good deal.

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Suitable for beginners

Some were better than others in terms of clarity of impression. There are three different basket weave patterns, only one is worth the trouble. A good starter kit just to show you what you really need. Some I won't use, some are good enough, a few/several will be replaced with more expensive items.

Pros
  • Stamping and punching
Cons
  • Rosette required

Get what you pay for.

These are pretty poor quality stamps. For the money some of them are good. The 20 you get, which is similar to all of Revain's other 20 mark offerings, is okay at best. But the extra 4 cannot even be used. These 4 stamps are dull, too thick to make a good impression and/or seriously defective.

Pros
  • Crafts and Sewing
Cons
  • I'll write later

good value for money

They appear to be quite solid, the patterns are varied although some are missing a *tiny* detail, overall I think for the price paid I can expect that I rely on them to satisfy the vast majority of my leatherworking needs. I just received them today so haven't used them yet but from my experience they seem pretty reliable. In the worst case, I can put some extra details in it. There's a reason we call ourselves DIYers, right?

Pros
  • Embossing
Cons
  • Only available in black
