Everything is as described. Very bright in my windows. Timers working as they should.turns on & turns off automatically every evening. The only suggestion I could make would be to have an 8hr timer, but 6hr is working fine. It's just that it gets dark so early these days. But after about 10 days, I am loving them. Hopefully the batteries will last through the season. Oh, & I love they are taller than many.

Update 12/15/2019. We now have purchased 3 sets of these and every candle worked and continues to work. We also assumed (reading reviews+ here) that there was no auto-on feature. There is! At least in the versions we purchased on 11/30, 12/4, 12/10/2019. Practice with 1 candle. Hit OFF. Hit On. Hit FLF. Hit 4H. That's it. Pause a few seconds between button presses. I was skeptical about buying these based on the reviews but I am pleasantly surprised with them. I purchased two boxes as I needed 10 candles. I had a small glitch with one of them not going off with the timer. I had an extra one and replaced that one. Works fine now. They do take 3 AAA batteries however I have not had to replace them and its been almost a month!

I was pleasantly surprised by how well these candles worked and looked. I have used wired candles for years in my windows. I recently remodeled my house and didn’t think about placement of electrical outlets. Low and behold I had two windows in a bathroom that couldn’t safely be reached by cords. The candles are nice looking and looked great in the windows. Setting up the timer function using the remote control was easy, but unfortunately, the timer didn't work correctly. I set them up to come on automatically for 4 hours at 5 pm on the "flicker like flame" setting, but they didn't come on at the same time every evening. They seemed to come on a minute or two earlier every night so that were not synced with other decorations that came on at same time. Had to reset them more than once.

The best part of this product is the "set and forget" nature. We wanted to use these for a change in our decorating this Christmas. The units have a 4 hour and 6 hour schedule option that was perfect. We used the six hour option which turns the lights on for six hours then 18 hours off and repeats. I am very pleased with these candles. They look great and do everything they say that they do. However, the quality is not great and the remote doesn't have great range, but is still really cool. Overall I would totally recommend these and I might buy more.

These candles are beautiful and exactly what I wanted for our 6 windows in the front of our house, for this holiday season. The timer and remote work perfectly and the candles are a soft flickering in the evening hours. My husband laughed at me because the prices of these candles is excellent, he spent $27 in batteries!

These candles each take 3 AAA batteries and will run approximately 150 hours. There are settings for steady light, with three levels of brightness, and a flicker mode with either fast or slow flicker. The slow flicker looks the most like real candle flames. The candles have an elegant shape, just like in the pictures. We use them in the windows during the holiday season, and for that I wish they would be a little brighter. In addition they lose some of their initial brightness soon with the regular alkaline batteries. I just bought rechargeable NiMH batteries hoping they keep their power up a little longer, the jury is still out on that. Either way, the batteries add a substantial cost.

These LED candle are much nicer than the ones I'm replacing this year. They all work, so those who reported broken ones should return and try again. The remote is a welcome feature and come with a battery (you have to buy AAA batteries for the candles - bought amazon brand same day). Old ones had to be turned on two by two to sync the timers.
