Don't buy this!

I liked that the cell was shallow and the fry could not get out. What I didn't like was that it was difficult to see through the mesh so you couldn't see clearly unless you were looking from above. The frame is ok but not strong. One of the hanging pieces of metal kept bouncing off. But I was afraid that my mother would eat her fried fish. I wish I had something for the fry to swim in. But the worst thing was that the net in my water was polluted with tannins (orange-brown from the tree in the…

Think twice before adding this breeder to your tank, it's risky

None of my baby clownfish survived the first night of this breeder net. All of them died when caught between the net and the frame, or maybe some of them repeatedly swam into the net. They are too fragile and this network system is a waste of money for this purpose, maybe if they were older. Another problem is that the current in my tank is too strong and will probably send the small fish straight into the net. After reading about baby care - it's a lot more complicated than I thought. Great for isolating freshwater shrimp!

Perfect for my needs. I should have known better, but I put 10 high quality red cherry shrimp in a black tetra tank. They were quickly shot one after the other. I ordered this for my future aquarium so I put the remaining 5 shrimp in this net. Saved me from total disaster. This will be a great temporary fix until I get a separate tank up and running.
