Great home for our new pets! We found 2 garden snails and wanted a bigger house than a large container to take away. It is very easy to see and check our snails. The bodice is very tight and secure. The container itself is very durable. The small door at the top is a good size to fit an adult's hand in, giving you quick access to the contents. I took it to the sink to wash it and accidentally dropped it. it only fell three feet (probably less), but the plastic on top shattered like glass, leaving sharp edges and shards everywhere. My son loves them for collecting bugs. It is also suitable for small frogs or lizards, although I don't want to keep them in this set permanently. We ordered these after he was trying to hold a large praying mantis in a smaller container and I was concerned he couldn't turn around properly. It has enough space to create a nice habitat for all kinds of creepy crawlies, and the handle and lid are sturdy, even with quite a heavy weight inside. One of the first ones we ordered didn't have a handle.
