Cheap - Electric

This is a cheap product. The pins are thinner metal and the plastic is cheap. Threading in the screws to tighten them over the wires could tell they weren't of very good quality. Another problem was that it was difficult to insert the wire to pinch it. It worked in the end, but there are better products out there.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • There are disadvantages

For some reason, for a simple lamp cord repair, it can be very expensive to get connectors for electrical connections. This product gets the job done at a competitive price. There is a screw holding the two pieces together. Separating the pieces can be a bit tricky, so stick the end of the pencil with the eraser in the hole where the wire is installed and with a light push the pieces will separate. Then connect the wires.

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons
  • Not trendy

Excellent straight three-pin socket with your own hands.

Great Wall plug for installation by anyone with minimal electrical knowledge. If you need a grounding plug, this aftermarket plug is perfect. It is well made and designed for the DIY enthusiast. Make sure all wires (hot, common, and ground) are properly and securely connected. If in doubt, consult a licensed electrician. Otherwise, if you understand the simple basics of electronics and safety, this is a great fork. I highly recommend it!

Pros
  • Brings joy
Cons
  • The list will be long.

No clamp on coated wire

It was cheap and easy to use. It makes me nervous that there is enough slack for the cable in the hole. There is also nothing to hold the bundled coated cable in the connector except 3 small screws. I can only assume I have to keep opening this guy up to reattach it or be very careful not to pull on the wire. The case is shorter than expected, so I had to use black tape to cover each wire. Too bad I didn't have white electrical tape so as not to spoil the "look".

Pros
  • Builds confidence
Cons
  • No instructions

Very compact but awkward to install

This connector is small - about the size of a molded connector, which is great considering it is a user installable item. 4 stars because it's quite awkward to assemble given its size and it seemed like a concerted effort was needed to keep the wiring inside secure. There are just simple guides around the screws for the bare wire which is then held in place by pushing the insulated piece into the horizontal grooves on the back of each pin - this provides a reasonably good and secure hold which…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Slightly crumpled
