For $5-6 I would have been more impressed. It comes with a gasket so this thing appears to be watertight unless you drill a hole that will leak. If you need to build a standalone device that is waterproof and cannot be opened, this is the box to go for. I am referring to something like a solar powered HF repeater etc which has a small solar powered cable that can be 100% fully sealed.

I used this to shut down a Raspberry Pi server that I use for home automation. it is strong enough and easy to poke holes in without breaking. I would definitely order again. It also has fasteners inside if you need to fasten something inside like circuit boards or standoffs. However, they are close to the edge, so that a kind of traverse may be required for attachment.

I use it it has a project box for My DCC trains. I didn't answer if it's waterproof. in a groove. The gasket material went deep into the groove and it feels like plastic on plastic when you put the top back on the box. I don't think you will get much moisture resistance. Structurally the box is very sturdy and I am happy with it for my use.

The box is exactly as advertised. It arrived quickly and was in excellent condition. I would say this is normal (medium) strength/rigidity for such a box. I suspect that the supplied gasket protects the box well from splashes and drops. I drilled 1/4 inch holes in the box and cut out some potions with a hacksaw. I have found that plastic is easy to drill and cut cleanly without risk of tearing the plastic.

I built two temperature controllers for my brew system - one with pulse width module and one with PID control. These boxes (I ordered the largest size) gave me enough space to use all of the wiring without risk of pinching/pinching wires. Very durable, can even accommodate a 10G cable. Would definitely buy again and recommend to anyone who wants to take on the challenge of making one of these controllers themselves.

I bought this to house the shunt that is part of the battery monitoring system for our camper. The shunt didn't fit in our existing battery boxes in any way, so I needed a safe, dry place to mount it. This box did it. I had to drill some 1" holes in the sides of the box for the battery cables (and the rubber grommets to protect the cables) and I was a little worried it wouldn't be strong enough, but it holds up well. also be very water repellent.

Nice box. However, these are not the specified dimensions. I've been looking for a box that goes with everything for a long time. If it really was 8"x71/2" it would be perfect. Now I need to add an extra box and it took me an hour and a half of work because the 4-1/2" width was too small to fit in the second switch box. I bought the larger of the two listed (200mm x 120mm x 75mm) to use as the keypad for my PC. The box was as described when it arrived. Gasket for waterproof lid seal is included but not assembled.
