Leviton 2621 30-Amp, 250-Volt, NEMA L6-30P, 🔌 2P, 3W, Locking Plug, Industrial Grade, Grounding - Black/White Review

I installed 2 of these Leviton connectors to terminate heavy equipment cables. Both installations look fine. This type of lockable 220 volt plug works well for permanently installed equipment as it is never disconnected from the outlet.

Nice solid fork which I suspect will last for years after being tied to the first piece of gear. My only criticism is that a soft rubber case would be nice: this cap has a rolled up hard plastic tube reminiscent of vintage Nikkor lenses, only in plastic instead of metal and on a magazine cap instead of a lens. I'm afraid it will be covered with grease and oil in the store and it will be difficult to keep well. But apart from the choice of materials, the fork is well made.

Leviton connectors are awesome! I cut the ends of all my 220 VAC appliances and replaced them with these plugs (20 amp plugs for 20 amp machines and 30 amp plugs for 30 amp cars). NEMA is very important when selecting a system for deploying twist lock connectors. It just so happens that I use devices both at home and in the shop and in the field connected to a generator set. The new UL code says something about devices with two hot wires and a neutral wire that require a four-pin plug and socket system, but in my case I use the third pin as the ground wire or neutral and run the outer frame ground with a safety cable with spade lugs and Bolts for any non-separable device
