LEXIVON Socket Chrome Vanadium 13 Piece Review

Who cares what the right tool is. I had to remove the shaft bolts to rebuild the carburetor which has a sprocket on the ends. Of course I tried using a vise but the bolts wouldn't move and ruined the bolts. These women's sprockets were perfect and being the right size removed the bolts quickly with no damage. So, I'm glad I added these sockets to my toolbox.

The box was sealed with plastic and undamaged. When you open the cardboard/plastic case, the plug heads appear to be cleanly processed, uniformly colored (anno/lacquered?) and without any tool marks. Bushings are lightly oiled to prevent rusting during storage. The kit includes a 3/8" to 1/4" adapter with both 3/8 male and 3/8 female threads. Very good set, I will use. somewhere this week.

This set blew my mind. I had to do brake work on my 2015 Chrysler 200 and the caliper bracket is held in place with E-20 cap screws. To my surprise, no store nearby sold sets with E-20 sockets - not hardware stores, hardware stores, auto parts stores - if they had an external torx (which many places didn't have), they only fit up to E-18. Well I ordered this kit, the E-20 fitting fits perfectly! This is a bit misleading as they are black but they are CR-Vs - most people assume the black sockets

I needed an E14 to tighten a bolt in the engine bay of my car that showed up when the interior/dash rattled over bumps, bumps or bumps in the road. Why the manufacturer didn't use a conventional hexagon head is a mystery to me. This set costs about twice as much as the E14, so it seems like a good deal, especially since my car has other reverse torx screws. The heads seem strong. Ordered last week (July 2021), when it arrived I did not have an E18 connector, and in its place was a second E16 - I contacted Lexivon (contact information included in the package ) and after apologizing they immediately sent me the correct E18, told me to keep the extra E16 and they were in constant contact with me to the point where they told me the item shipped yesterday was less than a week after receiving original order.
