The clip also fails on a flat surface.

I bought the lamp in June and went to work at the end of August, the whole plain. I just realized I lost my light 5-6 miles from the office while driving with a small group at over 20mph. I think a $50 flashlight should hold up much better. Otherwise I haven't encountered any other problems. That's roughly what the review of August 29, 2018 says.

You can see it brighter.

This light has several different flashing modes and I always use the one that flashes the brightest. I had another cyclist tell me how bright the light was, and brighter light would make me more visible to the motorist. I attach it to my saddlebag with a rubber band that makes it almost impossible to drop it. Battery life is excellent, I usually charge it after about 6-8 hours of riding just in case.

  • Stable test results
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Super bright long lasting battery

This is the brightest taillight I have been able to find and the battery also lasts longer than any others I have used or seen. The back is plastic and sits directly on the post, so I took a standard 1" x 1" rubber tube and glued it to the back of the light where it sits on the post. The problem is solved. I drove a century a few weeks ago and it was one of the few that was still flashing (150 flash mode) after 5 hours of driving and a few stops.

Finally a REAL rear light.

Finally a REAL rear light! I've had a few and also checked out the ones my friends have. But I wasn't satisfied with any of them. My bike had 3 taillights. Now I just need one more. This. The two daylight modes have a very powerful flash and are really visible. I didn't take photos because it doesn't look good in photos or videos. But I can say that you can't look directly into the light because it's really strong. Be careful not to buy a similar product from another brand. That sucks. Theโ€ฆ

Buy Cygolite Hotshot Instead - Poorly Made Mount

Buy Cygolite Hotshot Instead. So I bought this lamp and was very excited about the product. The different flashing modes work well and it's very bright! However, the mount design is poorly done and it failed when I rode my road bike (not too bumpy). Now I've lost a new $50 flashlight due to poor design. Maybe I just had a defective IDK. I'll try to get Lezyne to send me a new one and update the review later when it's ready. In the meantime, I urge everyone not to buy this lamp!

It will not take long. Twice.

Bought 2 LEZYNE Zecto taillights. When they worked, they worked well, as expected. Unfortunately, neither of these lasted long. A few months later the first one "froze" while loading and I couldn't turn it back on. The same thing happened to the second LEZYNE Zecto rear light after a little over a year. Since the same thing happened to both of them, it's definitely a design (or manufacturing) issue. Very disappointing, especially considering these taillights were expensive. I must add that Iโ€ฆ

Gersh damn it comes out brighter than anyone else

I wanted a bright tail light. Holy guacamole!. It actually projects a red patch of light onto distant surfaces - I've never seen a taillight before. I actually use it on a medium setting because I'm concerned that the maximum setting would hurt the eyes of riders behind me and cause them to blindly crash into the rear of my bike. The attachment mechanism is very cleverly designed and works great. both for mounting on the seat post or on the tube. I actually mount it on the back of a Yepp seatโ€ฆ

YOU WILL BE NOTICED BY DRIVERS: BLIND!

Have you ever been driving your car on a sunny day when a certain bike you were passing REALLY caught the eye with its VERY BRIGHT tail light? You become that biker when you use Lezyne Zecto Max Drive Rear 250 Lumens. Make sure you buy the MAX 250 model and not the lower powered model. MAX 250 is more than three times brighter. It's an extra $15, but it's worth it. The light literally blinds. I'm a bit squeamish about driving cars on roads (a big peloton helps) so I really appreciate the addedโ€ฆ
