Works perfectly. in spare parts

Easy to replace. Just use a small screwdriver to pry the metal clip on the old one and the new one will snap into place. Have someone help you raise the sunroof when the support is off.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • unreliable

I made a mistake with spares

In a previous review I said the cylinders are not manually compressed and are therefore scrap. I have since learned that they cannot be compressed by hand. Simple instructions included with the kit would have helped.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • No

Works as intended on spares

Relatively easy to install and works as intended. It took a few maneuvers for the bottom to snap into place on both sides. I had to push the tailgate a little further than I wanted, but after that it worked.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine

So tight that the tailgate is difficult to close

Fits well. The problem is that they are so tight that it is very, very difficult to close the tailgate of my SUV. I have to replace them because it's such a struggle I don't even like opening the tailgate. On the other hand, when I open the tailgate, it goes straight up, so dangerous when you don't know how fast it's going up.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Strong braces are the best lift supports

Product is relatively easy to install. Work in pairs, lasted no more than 10 minutes. Remember that these poses are really powerful. Elevator Door (2010 Ford Escape) now catapults the door up. I don't know if they just need to be broken in. Quick Tip - Replace both struts at the same time. First connect the upper part on both sides, then loosely insert the two lower parts. Once properly aligned, they snap into place immediately.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Poorly designed

There is not enough force to raise the hatch without assistance.

These brackets are not strong enough to raise the sunroof on a 2010 Escape. Installs easily and fits snugly but does not raise the sunroof. They have to help with a finger, and once fully open they keep the hatch open. Slowly experiment with the hatch at full reach a few times to make sure nothing is binding and check that the hinges are secure on the hinges. The original struts raised the hatch without our help except when it was below zero, but died a slow death. Maybe you need to go to Ford…

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Weight
