My daughters and I replaced my husband's shock absorbers on his "Voyager" hatch. It's been broken for a while. Everything went pretty smoothly except for one, but we replaced them with these and now it's working great again. Extremely powerful, when you open the hatch it jumps straight up.

It wasn't cold enough to test them but they seem to work well. I had a bit of trouble installing them because I wasn't able to compress them, but by removing the lift arm I was able to raise the door just enough to insert it without crushing it.

Ideal replacement for old liftgate pillars that no longer have enough pressure to hold the liftgate. Washers from old racks. The washers are held in place by small plastic clips (which can be omitted to simplify factory fitting, they are not needed when fitting new racks).

After a few mishaps between the tailgate and my head on a cold morning I decided to go ahead and order replacement stays. The price was right and after reading some reviews I decided to buy it.
