Cheaply Made in Shocks, Struts and Suspension

They are literally made so cheap! I wish I had spent another $3 at the parts store! They didn't even last two months, one of them is already broken && I rarely use my jeep sunroof which is a shame! Photos attached (plastic clip no longer stays in place)

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Zero

The ends of the frame are junk. They don't stay put they keep falling off

The ends of these struts are junk they keep falling off and you'll get hit in the head by the sunroof if it collapses due to the brace If you don't stay up , leave the sunroof closed. Spend more money and get good

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Too strong in dampers, struts and suspension

So you're too strong for the XJ jeep's tailgate, throw the door open so hard it actually disengages and the door falls over a full body incline to shut it closing, and the horrible creaking from the stress it puts on the door, I'm afraid the fiberglass sunroof might just snap. Maybe a good use for something a little heavier than an XJ jeep. A small child is thrown into the air, I'm not kidding.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Operating speed

Powerful strong lift legs

I bought an old 1995 Cherokee a few years ago, used, and the tailgate struts died, mostly in the cold weather. I used a vise to hold the sunroof in winter. In the end I decided to exchange and ordered this set, or two sets. I had a hard time installing them and ruined one of the first two sets. I bought a second set and ended up installing two supports. It was not easy. Was it the luggage racks or the jeep? I don't know. But now that two are installed, the sunroof opens when opening, and…

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Good but not great

Good gas chambers, terrible endings.

So the blocks raise the tailgate on our '96 XJ Cherokee just fine, but the fit and quality of the strut ends was terrible. In general, be prepared to struggle with clips on the ends. By the way, I'm not new. I've installed about a dozen different types of lifts of this type on back doors, tool boxes and truck decklids, including an earlier set on our venerable Cherokee. I'm also a fairly experienced shade tree mechanic; I'm not afraid of a head gasket in a push rod engine and I've done more…

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • old
