I had an E1500, 2 E2500 and just bought one of these. By and large, consumer routers, even the most expensive ones, are junk. I would never use a consumer router (including this one) for mission-critical tasks, but as far as consumer routers go, the Linksys E-Series has been pretty reliable. One of my E2500's has failed but all the others have been working great for years. It has a vastly improved web interface over the E2500, but overall it's very similar. I bought this as a backup for my current 300Mbps dual band WiFi router which is starting to to go crazy. The EA3500 is a reliable router when left connected (see below) and handles Comcast download and 10Mbps upload speeds very well. The 5GHz connection is pretty weak and really needs to be used within 20-30 feet. The 2.4 GHz connection is slightly stronger than the Linksys E1200 and much stronger than the Linksys E1000. Where the EA3500 differs from the E1XXX level routers is in signal attenuation. A 50 Mbps connection at 50 feet is still 36-38 Mbps, sometimes 40-42 Mbps down and 10 Mbps up. It…
