Constants drop in less than 6 months of operation.

UPDATE 7/3/16. This router has been up and running for a little over 6 months and I'm having constant network outages (5-10 times a day) on both wired and wireless networks. Links. I've determined that the problem is with the router, not the modem or anything else on my network, so I'm downgrading my rating for this device from 5 to 1 star. Even for less than $50 and as a refurbished OEM, I expect the device to last over 6 months. Luckily I still have the E1500 and used it again with no loss…

I bought this router to replace the EA6200 I bought a few years ago and it was nothing more than a problem. To describe what is wrong with this router I will describe what is wrong with the EA6200 since they are no different from each other. The EA6200 is a very simple device with internal antennas. The two main reasons for the purchase were the move from G to N speeds and from 10/100 Ethernet to full gigabit capabilities. I also liked the fact that it could manage a shared storage device and…

So incredibly easy to set up!

It was so easy to set up I sabotaged myself thinking it would be more difficult. I unpacked the router, connected it to the modem, it blinked and then lit. The default network name and password are on a sticker on the bottom of the router, so you don't have to change anything if you don't want to. All you have to do is open a browser on your phone or computer and connect to the internet. You can then enter the website in the "Quick Start Guide" and go to the router settings. (I figured this…

Great performance, great price

Great deal on an AC router. This replaced the Linksys E2000, which still worked well but was outdated. The new routers feature simultaneous 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands and a new AC standard. This router was easy to set up. All of my wired and wireless PCs, laptops, tablets and phones connected to it with no issues. Of course, I've only had it for a few days, but I'm very happy with its performance. My cable modem delivers speeds of around 100-130 Mbps. I get about 55+ Mbps in the same room and about…
