UPDATE 7/3/16. This router has been up and running for a little over 6 months and I'm having constant network outages (5-10 times a day) on both wired and wireless networks. Links. I've determined that the problem is with the router, not the modem or anything else on my network, so I'm downgrading my rating for this device from 5 to 1 star. Even for less than $50 and as a refurbished OEM, I expect the device to last over 6 months. Luckily I still have the E1500 and used it again with no loss until I replaced the EA6350 with another model. I've been very happy with LinkSys in the past, so I might try a different model before switching brands. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I bought this to replace a LinkSys E1500 router that had lasted many years. The only reason I replaced the E1500 was to upgrade my network to take advantage of the power adapter speed on some of my devices. I am using an EA6350 router with a RE6500 extender to extend the 5GHz band. which is limited for all routers compared to the 2.4 GHz bands. The EA6350 router sits at the top of the stairs at one end of the 3,000-square-foot building. feet, and the expander is at the bottom center of the house. I consistently get 24+ MB download speed and 3+ MB upload speed anywhere in my home. I have a TWC Road Runner service so my network speed is limited to 20/2MB and koodoo's TWC to provide more than I pay for (at least in this case). I have 16 network devices connected to my network, including a Smart TV, four smartphones or tablets, two desktops and a laptop, a network printer, an Xbox and Wii gaming system, and several home security cameras. I've never had devices disconnect from the router, nor have I experienced lag or lag when streaming HD from NetFlix or Revain Prime, even when streaming from multiple devices at the same time. The only downtime I had was when the cable failed or the power went out. While some of the more advanced network types complain about the lack of controls in the LinkSys UI for advanced settings, it's more than enough to turn the average user off. the ability to control necessary settings such as DHCP reservations, static DNS and client lease time. You can't get a more powerful dual-band AC router for 49.99 euros.
